Frankly, the Carmel-needle context is a more likely situation than you picking the right air fryer. Why take the risk when we are here to vet these air fryers for you? In this review, we will be assessing air fryers that stand out for all the crispy reasons. Let’s get started!
Best Air Fryers Review
COSORI Air Fryer
Interested in a tested and trusted air fryer? Consider this model from Cosori. It has the capacity, design, and several air fryer modes to satiate your taste for healthy food.
Are you a picky eater? The Cosori air fryer has a unique preheating mode which isn’t only fast but improves the general appearance of your food. The clear and simple LED panel ensures you have maximum control over the air fryer.
No food is tasteless with this air fryer and its wide range of preset modes make this possible. While its 5.8 quarts capacity might seem like much, you have to be prepared to do the air frying in batches. Regardless, it is still a great way for you and your family to eat healthily, and say goodbye to the calorie-loaded deep frying.
The detachable basket puts an end to your cleaning turmoil. Also, you don’t have to fight with the kitchen appliance as the basket has a non-stick surface so you can take out that crispy chicken wing without much effort.
- Multiple Modes
- Functional LED panel
- Detachable basket
- Food comes off easily
- Noise level is low
- Comes with a recipe book
- It is not stainless steel
- No memory function
- Temperature adjustment and time setting share a single button which could be a problem
The Cosori air fryer might not be perfect, but it is definitely a great buy. Air frying is bound to be a tastier experience with this appliance.
YEDI Air Fryer
Another highly rated air fryer is this Yedi product. Shaped like a mug of some sort, you might easily mistake this appliance for a jug of coffee. Its digital screen provides an arsenal of control in your air frying bid. To avoid giving incoherent excuses about eating healthy, this device has distinct accessories for the preparation of a wide array of dishes.
Like the Cosori product considered earlier, this Yedi air fryer has a capacity of 5.8 quarts. It is modest but delivers more than what is obtainable in some more expensive air fryers. The broad digital screen doesn’t only give you control over the duration and temperature of an air frying task, the display has several smart settings which match regular dishes like fries, barbeque, and others. Also, there is a basket divider, so you can air fry different meals at the same time.
Unfortunately, this Yedi air fryer comes with a metallic basket which isn’t nonstick like the Cosori, but it makes up for it with the inclusion of parchment papers. This is not exactly a remarkable approach, but users don’t seem to have a problem with it. While you’d expect cleaning to be easy since the basket is detachable, this depends on the parchment paper doing its job – exactly why we don’t like the idea of using parchment papers instead of a non-stick basket.
– Impressive appliance
– Comes with a useful accessory kit
– Noiseless operation
– Cooking quality is off the hook
– Simple to use
– Comes with a recipe book
- Design Flaws
- The coating of the basket tends to peel with time
- Durability problem
This Yedi air fryer is probably one of the highly rated products in its category, but it is not exactly flawless. There are a few design errors which you wouldn’t expect in such a product. However, their customer service is topnotch, and that makes up for a lot of things.
Super Deal Air Fryer
Another air fryer that has impressed a lot of cooking and none-cooking enthusiasts is this product from Super Deal. Its glossy appearance adds some décor to your kitchen. Controls for the air fryer are through a laidback adjustable knob for both temperature and timer setting. There is no touch screen or the usual LED display. This makes it less easy for someone not fully grounded on cooking. Super Deal claims this improves the durability of the product, but that is, perhaps, exaggerated. There is no standing research to back up that claim.
The capacity of this air fryer doesn’t help. A 3.7 quarts capacity is so underwhelming. What can you possibly fit into that? Yet, the manufacturing company claims the product size is an “XL Big.” Weird!
One of the strengths of this air fryer is its ergonomic and heat resistant handle. You can easily remove the basket without any mishap. Within the pan, is a button which ensures the basket fits in place and doesn’t come off during cooking. Sadly, the supposedly non-stick coating on the basket comes off after a few uses.
– Decent cooking experience
– No complicated display makes for ease of use
– Stress-free cleaning process
- Non-stick coating peels after a while
- It is not very durable
- It might take a while to get used to it
- Small cooking space
While this Super Deal air fryer does a decent job of air frying your food in a healthy manner, the negatives might be overwhelming.
OMorc Air Fryer
This OMorc air fryer might not be aesthetically appealing, but its exquisite cooking does make up for it. There are lots of preset modes to take care of different food recipes. Unlike the Cosori which uses a single touch button for temperature and time control, this OMorc air fryer uses a knob. But both still share the knob, only the direction of turning differs. It is good that the knob is adequately textured to provide friction for wet and oily hands common in the kitchen – you don’t have to wash your hands to make a quick temperature/time adjustment.
The 6.0 quartz capacity of this air fryer is impressive. While it caters to more food volume, it is not suitable for large families as claimed by the manufacturing company. Fortunately, OMorc provides a 7.6 quartz version which would take care of larger households.
Like most air fryers, this one uses a detachable basket. While it is a non-stick basket alright, the coating gives way after a few uses. Apparently, you might find it easy to clean initially, but things get out of hand after using the air fryer for some time. While this isn’t only applicable to the OMorc air fryer, you need to take note of this when making a purchase. Also, the basket is rather flimsy and might not survive regular use.
– It looks good and cooks great
– Decent size
– Resume function could be quite handy
– Preset settings for some regular meals
– Comes with a cookbook if you intend to try something new
- Non-stick basket peels after a few uses
- Heats up on the exterior to high extremes which could damage your countertop
- Design Flaws
The OMorc has the general attributes of a decent cooking appliance, but its numerous design flaws can put a gap between you and that tasty fries you love.
GoWISE USA Programmable Air Fryer
Another air fryer brand that has enjoyed tremendous patronage is the GoWise brand. But has their air fryer lived up to expectation? Perhaps you would be the judge of that.
The 3.7 quartz capacity of the air fryer is rather small. A small household would still have to cook their meals in batches. Yes, it doesn’t take that long in cooking a meal, but the shorter time benefit is defeated when you have to cook in small quantities several times. The 8 preset settings ensure common dishes like fries, steak, fish, and others are taking care of with the press of a button.
For non-preset dishes, you can fiddle with the air fryer’s digital screen to set the desired temperature and time. The GoWise air fryer has a detachable basket and pan. While the pan is non-stick, it is affiliated with the peeling curse. Like the OMorc considered above, the non-stick coating on the GoWise air fryer pan peels after a few uses. Why claim it is a non-stick pan/basket if it won’t last?
– Delivers crispy meals every time
– Preset options save time
– Efficient cooking appliance
- Non-stick coating peels too quickly
- Capacity is too small
- Pan is not stainless steel
- Poor customer service
- It is not a very durable product
This GoWise air fryer has too many flaws to be considered a decent buy. While it might be affordable, it feels like some mass produced electronic junk sold to exploit people. It is no surprise the so many recent negative reviews surrounding the product.
Philips TurboStar Technology Air fryer
Interested in an air fryer but want one from a renowned brand? Well, this Philips air fryer could be worth considering. But it comes at a hefty price. The design of this air fryer is one that reeks of class and quality. The ergonomic handle is durable and aesthetically placed. There is a knob for temperature and time control which connects with the handle when the basket is returned to its place.
The pan and basket of this Philip air fryer are truly non-stick. You don’t have to worry about the sort of sponge you have to use in cleaning the pan/basket after using the air fryer. Cleaning is easy and stress-free. Perhaps this explains the pricy nature of the appliance. The general design is topnotch. Unfortunately, a few things were sacrificed during the manufacture of this air fryer. One of which is the capacity of the air fryer. A 2.75 quartz capacity is unacceptable. A food enthusiast living alone would still have to depend on another cooking appliance despite the huge cost of this air fryer. Also, the temperature adjustment is limited to an interval of 25°C. Apparently, if a recipe requires a temperature of 290ºC, the air fryer wouldn’t be able to deliver the exact temperature needed, and this is a letdown considering the cost of the appliance.
– Premium quality design
– Non-stick pan/basket makes cleaning easy
– Durable product
– Classy look
- Small food cooking capacity
- Temperature limitation is unacceptable
- Expensive appliance
The Philip air fryer would be a great buy if you can live with its small food capacity and the temperature interval limitation. There is also the premium price to consider before opting for this appliance.
Tidylife Air Fryer
This air fryer might be from a relatively unknown brand (compared to Philip), but it does hold its own. Its 4.2 quartz capacity might be relatively modest, but it offers more food hold when compared to the Philip air fryer. Also, there is a 6.3 quartz version from the same company if you want a bigger capacity air fryer.
The large touch screen display offers 7 preset options which enable several regular dishes like fries, chicken and others can be cooked just by pressing a button. Also, you can adjust the temperature and time to suit non-preset dishes. Beware that this air fryer is bulky and might take up some space especially if you intend placing it on your countertop.
– Easy to use
– No cleaning problem
– Fast operation
– Preset options save time
- Design Flaws
- Bulky and takes too space
- The instructional manual is useless
- Unpleasant odor generated during use
Regardless of its obvious shortcomings, this Tidylife air fryer is a decent buy. You’d just have to weigh its strengths and weaknesses and decide if it’s something you can enjoy tasty meals with.
Most of the air fryers considered in this review might have remarkable attributes, but some are way better than others. You just have to look beyond their cooking ability and pick something that would deliver tasty meals for a long time.
